Anna Gray, born in the Netherlands in 1974, is an Amsterdam-based glass artist whose academic and creative interests are deeply inspired by the scientific exploration of natural phenomena. Gray completed her undergraduate studies at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and continued her education with a master's degree from the Royal College of Art in London, which she received in 2017. His work is strongly inspired by the beauty and complexity of scientific processes and the deep sense of mystery surrounding subjects that elude full scientific understanding.
In her art practice, Gray is known for her use of mirrored organic forms within transparent spheres, a design inspired by biological and physical structures. These elements within her sculptures challenge viewers' perceptions by reflecting on the internal mechanisms of knowledge and external observations of the surrounding world. His art evokes contemplation of the seen and unseen elements of the material world, encouraging a deeper appreciation and understanding of the intersection of art and science.
