Son of the Norwegian painter Vincent, he was born in Duesseldorf in 1867 and died in Rome in 1920. He worked for two years in small ceramics workshop and came to Italy in 1886. He lived in Rome beginning in 1900 and worked for F.lli Toso's from 1912 to 1914. He exhibited at the 1912 and 1914 Biennales. In 1923 the First International Exhibition of Decorative Art in Monza dedicated a retrospective exhibition to him in the Norwegian pavillion.
