The exhibition aims to celebrate the Nason Moretti, one of the most flourishing and original glassware companies in Murano, as it reaches its centenary in 2023. This event provides a unique opportunity to delve into the past, explore the extensive archives, and share the significant story of NasonMoretti with the visitors of the Glass Museum. With over ten thousand models showcasing their craftsmanship, Nason & Moretti, established in 1923, has been dedicated to the art of tableware. They blend traditional techniques with a modern twist, consistently reinventing themselves to meet contemporary demands.
Since the 1950s, Nason & Moretti has emerged as a prominent figure in the design world. Their Lidia cups were honored with the prestigious Compasso d'Oro award in 1955, marking the beginning of their continuous presence at the Venice Biennale. The exhibition, accompanied by a commemorative volume, will highlight the most successful creations of the furnace, as well as collaborations with renowned designers and architects. It will also feature a section dedicated to their current endeavors, showcasing the enduring vitality of this historic family-owned Murano company. Join us in celebrating a century of NasonMoretti's exquisite glassware and its significant contributions to the industry.
