A cerchi e a fasce was a series of glassware by Carlo Scarpa for Venini & C . that featured clear glass, decorated with one or more coloured opaque glass ribbon-shaped patterns, in different sizes.
The ribbon-shaped decorations, which were applied hot and subsequently marbled, could be in circles or coils.
The coiling pattern was particularly used for non-decorative objects (candlesticks, frames, toiletries and dinner sets), exhibited at the 6th Milan Triennale (1936) and the 21st Venice Biennale (1938).
