Born in Ancona (Italy) in 1910, he died in Rome in 1976. He studied at the Rome Academy and was attracted to fresco techniques. Together with Capogrossi, Cavalli and Melli he started the "Scuola Romana". In 1933 and in 1936 he exhibited at the Triennale di Milano. His manner of painting embrace the figurative, abstract, spatial and geometric styles. Round 60s he worked for the Fucina Degli Angeli.
